NHL Public Relations, (@PR_NHL on Twitter) officially announced that Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak has been named the first star of the week for October 14th to October 20th. Washington Capitals defenceman John Carlson and Buffalo Sabres goaltender Carter Hutton were awarded the second and third star respectively.

After their first post-regulation loss of the new season, the Boston Bruins look to rebound right away with a win in the first game of the home-and-home series against the Maple Leafs. Providence Bruins general manager John Ferguson Jr. announced Thursday afternoon that the team has recalled goaltending prospect Kyle Keyser from the Atlanta Gladiators, Boston’s ECHL-affiliate.
