He began playing juniors as a 17-year-old in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for the Sherbrooke Castors from 1969 until 1972. Steve Kasper, retired NHL defensive forward who played 13 seasons in the NHL, will turn 60 on September 28th. Kasper played nine of his 13 seasons with the Boston Bruins. During his time with the Bruins, Kasper won the Selke Trophy during the ’81-’82 season.
