On Monday, Bruins defenseman Steven Kampfer cleared waivers, meaning he will report to the Providence Bruins. Yesterday, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney announced that the team had placed Kampfer on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Providence.

The Providence Bruins faced off against the Utica Comets on Saturday night at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center. The Bruins were looking to extend their five-game winning streak, while Utica aimed to bounce back from a shootout loss to Bridgeport on Friday.
