With the 165th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, the Boston Bruins selected Russian-born Center Kirill Yemelyanov. Spending the season with Loko Yaroslavl of the Russian Junior Hockey League, Yemelyanov picked up 13 goals and 23 points, with a +/- rating of +12. He also added one assist in three games with their second team, Loko-76 Yaroslavl.
The 18-year-old stands at 6’0”, weighing 170 lbs, and shooting with his left hand. According to NHL Central Scouting, he was ranked #31 amongst International skaters, and #116 on EliteProspects. EliteProspects’ draft guide describes Yemelyamov as a true center with the capability to excel in his role due to the physical and playmaking elements he possesses.
Barring any trades, the Boston Bruins’ time at the 2025 NHL Entry Draft is complete. Earlier this month, the Bruins traded their seventh-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for Victor Soderstrom. Yemelyanov joins James Hagens, William Moore, Liam Pettersson, Cooper Simpson, Vashek Blánar, and Cole Chandler as the members of the Bruins’ 2025 draft class. Development Camp at Warrior Ice Arena begins Monday and continues through Thursday, July 3rd.
