Bruins To Retire Willie O’Ree’s No. 22

The Boston Bruins and team president Cam Neely announced Tuesday that the organization will retire number 22 in honor of Wille O’Ree. The ceremony is set to take place on Feb. 18 before Boston’s game against the New Jersey Devils, according to the team.

Bruins, Jacobs Announce Plan To Compensate TD Garden Employees During COVID-19 Pandemic

On Saturday morning, the Boston Bruins and the Jacobs Family announced a plan to compensate part-time gameday TD Garden employees due to the NHL’s current hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The plan is based around a fund of $1.5 million, should the remaining six games on Boston’s schedule go unplayed.

Jeremy Jacobs Transfers Ownership Of Bruins To His Children

Longtime owner of the Bruins Jeremy Jacobs has informed Kevin Paul Dupont(@GlobeKPD) of the Boston Globe that he is giving control of the organization to his children. Jacobs, who will turn 80 years old in January, informed the Globe that all six of his children Jerry Jr., Lou, Charlie, Lisann, Lynn, and Katie, will officially step in.
